Violation?
Right this moment, a guy [] is trying to take over our Guild. He kicked every member and invites some friends all the time to start a Guild Battle and decrease our rank.
Our Guild Leader isn't online for a few days so we're fighting to prevent any dmg to our (o so low) rank. Is this a violation to report to ArenaNet or is this case not serious enough. Because in my opinion, players like him should recieve a account ban. Fast reply would come in handy Last edited by Lasareth; Mar 03, 2006 at 06:24 PM // 18:24.. |

Just goes to show, don't make newcomers to the guild officers. That guy could be banned, but you would have to go through a greuling reporting process on gw.com. Its really not worth it

Wow, never had that happen. That gave me a good idea though. A-net should incorporate an option for regular guild members to hold a vote to demote or even kick an officer for inappropriate behavior.
Possible Rules for Voting: 1. you must be an active member in the guild for at least 3 month. 2. 5 to 10 votes are required for the demotion to occur. Depending on size of guild. 3. Guild leader must approve of the demotion, unless the guild leader has not been active for 1 week. 4. or if the guild leader is away for more than a week on real life matters, then an elected officer must approve of the demotion. Sorry for your situation......maybe its time to find a new guild. |

Maybe some sort of Superior officer...
Anyway, I allready told alot of time to my guild mates we had to many officers... (we had like 20 officers and 15 members) Maybe this will learn something though. But i think i'll give it a try to report it. |

I HIGHLY suggest you keep an hawk eye for your guild leader to return and ban this idiot + invited friends. Good luck in your efforts.

yea its unfortunate... maybe make a replacement guild for now and invite all your legitimate members and officers to that one till its secured... Then once he thinks he has taken it over totally, Nuke the little Shisher ... have the guild leader disband the guild and make a new one with same name just with a different [tag]. this will make it so he can not remake it himself and your finally rid of the bugger and it will not cost you much on the ladder... Its a shame but leaders of guild should at least be on once a week or something for maintenance purposes at the very least... Or at least have Co-Leaders to help with duties when they can not...

I don't think Anet should waste time with this kind of issue. Guild leaders are responsible for promoting competent, trustworthy officers. It's up to the guild leader to act fast in removing potential problems before severe sabotage can occur. Communication is the key to anticipating most problems, and your guild leader has all the tools needed to do the job.

don't think Anet will see this as a violation, he's an officer of the guild, and probably got that legit (as in promoted by the leader) so he has the "right" to do stuff like that. Don't make idiots officers alright :P

I had that happen to the first major guild i was in. An officer went berserk and kicked evry or close to every member he could. I don't know what happened, but it just killed the guild, so if your situation is anything like mine was, I think it is worth a report.
